



















Cooking Recipe: Classic Tomato Pasta
A quick, comforting pasta dish bright tomato sauce garlic, and fresh basil. Perfect for weeknights adaptable to pantry staples.
Ingredients
- 200 g (7 oz spaghetti or your preferred pasta
-2 tablespoons olive oil - 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (14 oz / 400 g) crushed tomatoes
- 1 teaspoon dried
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- Fresh basil leaves, tornoptional-ated Parmesan or pecorino cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted to a boil. Cook the pasta according to package instructions al dente Reserve 1/2 cup of cooking water, then drain.
- While the pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté 1–2 minutes fragrant and lightly golden—careful not to burn.
- Stir in tomatoes oregano. Simmer gently 6– minutes allowing the flavors meld. Season salt and pepper.
- Add the cooked pasta to the sauce tossing to coat. If the sauce is too thick, splash in a little the pasta water to reach desired consistency.
- Remove from heat. in basil if using. Serve with grated cheese on top, if desired.
