



















Classic Tomato Pasta
A quick, weeknight-friendly pasta with a bright tomato sauce,, and basil.
Ingredients
- 200g
- 2 tbsp olive oil- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 400g canned crushed tomatoes
- 1/2 sugar
- and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil leaves, torn
- Grated parmesan for serving
Steps
- Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Cook spaghetti until al dente.
- While the pasta rests, heat olive oil in a over medium heat Add minced garlic and sauté 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
- Pour in crushed tomatoes, add, season with salt and pepper. Simmer about10 minutes to develop flavor.
- Drain the pasta, reserving a splash of pasta water. Toss spaghetti with the sauce, adding splash of the water if needed to loosen.
- Remove from heat, stir in torn, and serve grated parmesan.

Tips and variations
