Garlic Lemon Pasta

A bright, quick-to-make pasta with, lemon, and fresh herbs. for a weeknight meal.

  • oz225 g) or linguine

  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice- 1/2 cup reserved water
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed pepper flakes (optional)

  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
    /4 cup grated Parmesan (optional)

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Cook pasta according to package directions until alente. Reserve1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. minced garlic and until fragrant and lightly golden, about 30 seconds.
  3. Add lemon, lemon juice, and red pepper flakes (if using Stir to combine).
  4. Add cooked pasta to the skillet. Pour in the reserved pasta water gradually, tossing to coat the noodles and create a light sauce.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste. from heat.
  6. Stir in parsley and grated cheese (if using). Serve immediately.

Variations

  • Swap lemon with orange zest for a sweeter citrus note.
  • Add grilled chicken or shrimp for extra protein.
