Classic Lemon Garlic Pasta
A bright quick weeknight pasta with, garlic,, fresh parsley.
Ingredients- 12 oz spaghetti
- 2 olive oil
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 lemon, zest and juice
- 1/2 cup reserved water
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan
- Salt pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Cook spaghetti al dente reserve 12 of pasta water, then.
. a skillet, heat olive over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté -2 minutes until fragrant. - Add zest, juice, and reserved pasta water. Stir to combine.
- Add drained pasta, Parmesan, salt, and pepper. Toss until coated and cheese melts.
- Finish with parsley and extra lemon zest if. Serve immediately.
Variations
- Add crushed red pepper for heat.
- Stir in sautéed shrimp or grilled chicken.
Tips
- Use the starchy pasta to emulsify the sauce.
- Finish with a drizzle of olive oil for glossy finish.
